Meet the Stacked Storage Solution, a versatile and functional storage furniture solution that can be configured as shelves, sideboards, bookcases, side tables, and so many other ways.
Over time as your life evolves, your storage needs may evolve too. The Stacked Storage Solution is ready to evolve with you, inviting you to constantly change the configuration by playing around with the space between each piece, mounting pieces directly onto a wall, playing with colors, or adding backboards and doors.
The system was designed in collaboration with Julien De Smedt, founder of JDS Architects, known for their “unconventional” approach to design.
“Our projects are humanly designed, politically engaged, financially viable, and structurally realistic,” says De Smedt.

Find The Right Stacked Storage Furniture Configuration For You
Open your mind to this unconventional storage furniture design by exploring the pre-designed configurations. Who knows, maybe one of these configurations will spark just a hint of that feeling we all seek when designing a space.
Configuration One offers two levels six spaces to store and display your items, two of which feature a door. This configuration is a great storage solution for a child’s bedroom, an office, an entryway, or a hallway.
Configuration Two takes it up a notch, with even more storage nooks across three levels. We love how the space between the two units on the bottom row offers another place to store keepsakes, or leave it empty to balance out whatever else you decide to arrange in it.
Take a look at how Configuration Three can be used in a multipurpose open living area. We love how the different levels adds dimension to the plants and accessories placed on top of it.
Configuration Four (shown above) makes use of vertical space with added warmth thanks to the oak veneer (the highly coveted MUUTO lighting designs add even more warmth, too). It's a great option for an office or living room.
Configuration Five takes a similar approach while being yet another example of the endless ways to configure this incredible storage furniture system!
Here’s Configuration Six in a gorgeous Midnight Blue tone. This configuration shows just how many different rectangles you can fit within one square, and works well in a dining room or multi-use space.

Onto #8, which comes in Vertical and Horizontal forms. The Vertical Configuration is reminiscent of built-in shelving. Configuration Nine has a similar Vertical/Horizontal approach with even more storage space:

Configuration Eleven is a new addition to MUUTO’s collection of configurations, showing how you can use this system to create a substantial storage cabinet with open shelving for things you want to quickly grab or lovingly display.
