KUMPU Cast Iron Trivet
KUMPU by Pidät is a sculptural cast iron trivet designed by Mika & Julie Tolvanen. Both functional and artful, KUMPU is meant to be left on display. Named after the Finnish word for “mound,” its gently rising forms lift cookware off the table, protecting surfaces from heat and damage. Each piece is hand-sandcast in a family-run Swedish foundry, making every trivet unique. Finished with cork pads and heat-seasoned using a non-toxic method similar to cast iron cookware, KUMPU is built to last and can be re-seasoned over time.
Dimensions: 7.87"Dia x 0.6"H
Material: Recycled Iron, Natural Cork pads, and Organic Vegetable Oil ,KRAV certified, picked & produced near the foundry.
Care Instructions: To renew KUMPU’s surface, apply a thin coat of vegetable oil and place it face up on a baking paper–lined pan, with the cork pads resting on the paper. Bake at no more than 325°F to protect the cork.
