The NORR11 Elephant Chair – Front Upholstery is a dining chair that reinterprets Scandinavian minimalism with a subtle Japanese influence. Adapted from the iconic Elephant Lounge Chair, it features a gently curved back that mirrors the lounge chair’s comfort, paired with a sculptural base crafted from solid oak.
Hand-crafted from solid oak, the chair brings warmth, balance, and refined comfort to the dining setting. The Front Upholstery version features premium fabric or leather on the seat and inner backrest, adding comfort while maintaining the chair’s clean, architectural expression. The upholstery gives the chair a grounded, substantial presence, contrasted by the slim veneer edge for a refined finish.

Founded in 2011, NORR11 is a design company creating timeless furniture that sparks curiosity, crossing time periods, design eras, cultures, and materials to craft pieces with character that retain form, function, and comfort. From beautifully upholstered seating to sculptural glass tables, the NORR11 design collection has many notable boundary-pushing designs.
Crafted with genuine materials, NORR11 designs are made to use and built to last. NORR11's in-house design studio is led by founder Tommy Hyldahl and lead designer Kristian Sofus Hansen. The studio embodies a blend of architectural precision and a trend-forward perspective.

“Our design process is driven by curiosity and willingness to challenge conventional thinking, always favoring comfort and functionality from an aesthetic foundation. At our studio, we embrace a 360-degree perspective, ensuring that each piece of furniture exudes visual appeal from every angle. The result is a sculptural, bold and sophisticated expression. In our process, we dare to blend time periods, design directions, cultures and materials to craft products that exude attitude and relevance. By combining references from design history with forward-looking perspectives, our designs often evoke a sense of familiarity, but freshly and uniquely, bridging the gap between classic and modern design.”
