Bufala Chair
The NORR11 Bufala Chair is a sculptural design defined by its bold silhouette and refined craftsmanship. Its distinctive backrest is formed by pressing 36 layers of oak veneer in a compression mold, creating the signature horn-like shape that provides both back and arm support.
Rich wood grain enhances the chair’s striking appearance, underscoring its solid-wood construction and high material quality. Designed by Kristian Sofus Hansen and Tommy Hyldahl in 2019, the Bufala Chair combines sleek lines with a confident edge, resulting in a statement piece that balances comfort and character.

The NORR11 Story
Founded in 2011, NORR11 is a design company creating timeless furniture that sparks curiosity, crossing time periods, design eras, cultures, and materials to craft pieces with character that retain form, function, and comfort. From beautifully upholstered seating to sculptural glass tables, the NORR11 design collection has many notable boundary-pushing designs.
Crafted with genuine materials, NORR11 designs are made to use and built to last. NORR11's in-house design studio is led by founder Tommy Hyldahl and lead designer Kristian Sofus Hansen. The studio embodies a blend of architectural precision and a trend-forward perspective.

“Our design process is driven by curiosity and willingness to challenge conventional thinking, always favoring comfort and functionality from an aesthetic foundation. At our studio, we embrace a 360-degree perspective, ensuring that each piece of furniture exudes visual appeal from every angle. The result is a sculptural, bold and sophisticated expression. In our process, we dare to blend time periods, design directions, cultures and materials to craft products that exude attitude and relevance. By combining references from design history with forward-looking perspectives, our designs often evoke a sense of familiarity, but freshly and uniquely, bridging the gap between classic and modern design.”
NORR11 finds inspiration from all over the world, from Japanese design principles and the Wabi Sabi philosophy to traditional Danish design ethos.
