OE Quasi Pendant Lamp
The celebrated Icelandic-Danish artist Olafur Eliasson collaborated with Louis Poulsen to create this large-scale pendant. Its complex shapes combine Eliasson's interest in geometry and light, reinforcing the idea that quality lighting is essential to life.
Composed of two geometric shapes, the outer layer of the pendant is made of a rigid aluminum frame in the shape of an icosahedron with 20 triangular faces. The inner form, made of a white polycarbonate reflector, seemingly floats within the frame in the shape of a dodecahedron with 12 pentagonal faces. The shape of the OE Quasi changes depending on where you view it, allowing for endless interpretations.
The aluminum used is 90% recycled while all other materials are fully recyclable.
