HYDRO Vase

Referencing classic ceramic vases and ancient Greek vessels, the HYDRO Vase makes a modern statement that incorporates the material properties and appeal of brass. HYDRO comes in two sizes and two materials: glass or a casted solid brass with an oxidized surface treatment.

With Hydro, Copenhagen-based designer Sofie Østerby establishes an equilibrium between the visual impact of the brass and the shape itself. HYDRO is cast by a small workshop in Portugal that has retained the ancient technique of creating traditional armor. The dark, almost black oxidized surface adds a subtle dimension to an enduring design that seems to defy time.

Fredericia is a family-owned design company established in 1911 known and celebrated for creating modern originals crafted to last for generations. Through collaborations with design masters Børge Mogensen, Hans J. Wegner, and Nanna Ditzel, Fredericia has introduced many beloved pieces including the Spanish Chair, the Ox Chair, and the J39 Morgensen Chair.
