Fredericia Furniture's lounge chair designs have a timeless look, deeply rooted in Scandinavian design history.
Designed by Børge Mogensen in 1958 in collaboration with Fredericia, the globally celebrated Spanish Chair showcases a solid oak or walnut frame paired with premium saddle leather. While traveling through Spain, Mogensen encountered an ornate chair with wide armrests, a design typical of medieval Spanish furniture. He modernized this traditional form by incorporating solid oak and saddle leather, tanned and tailored in a Swedish tannery that adheres to traditional organic methods. The wide armrests not only add to its distinctive look but also offer the perfect spot to rest a cup of coffee or a book, blending functionality with timeless design. Designed by Børge Mogensen in 1970, the iconic Canvas Chair was one of the last pieces designed by Mogensen before he passed in 1972. True to its name, a quality linen canvas is used for the seat and the back, suspended and supported by the solid oak frame. The Wegner J16 Rocking Chair was one of the first designs by Hans J. Wegner that was put in production. First designed in 1944, the J16 Rocking Chair has been in production since its start. The Wegner J16 Rocking Chair comes in multiple wood finishes: lacquered walnut, oiled walnut, soaped oak, oiled oak, light oiled oak, and black lacquered oak.
