The Rivet Chair features smooth aluminum planes and geometric lines, seen through each piece in the Rivet series. The chair is put together by hand using a hammer in a cold-forming assembly process developed by designer Jonas Trampedach in 2011.
Rivet is a symbiosis between craftsmanship and industrial production. Based on the traditional hand construction technique of riveting, the Rivet Series is made of laser-cut raw aluminum sheets that are joined together by hand with a basic hammer tool. A celebration of the purity of aluminum, each piece in the Rivet series is intentionally left untreated to reveal the honest nature of the material.
