The Flensted Science Fiction Mobile is a classic that never tires. Introduced in 1956, it continues to be one of the most popular Flensted mobiles. We love how it can play with shadows when hung against a light source. Made by hand in Denmark with compressed paper material and a wooden ball at the center.
For over 60 years, Flensted has employed "homeworkers" to assemble their mobiles. Each mobile is created in people's homes, with regular visits from Flensted to provide supplies and new mobiles in exchange for the completed ones. Almost all Flensted mobiles are lighter than a standard letter. They can be fixed to your ceiling with a tiny nail––no drills or hooks are needed.

Care Instructions: Cardboard mobiles can be very lightly dusted with a soft brush. Wood, aluminum, or plastic mobiles can be wiped with a moist cloth with a few drops of mild dishwashing detergent.
