Paris Sofa - Baby Velvet Mohair

The Paris Sofa in Baby Velvet Mohair is an elegant, curved sofa originally designed by Elias Svedberg. Relaunched by Dusty Deco in 2023 with the approval of Svedberg’s descendants, it honors the timeless design while bringing it into the modern home. The sofa features a solid beech frame, complemented by springs and layered foam in the seat for exceptional comfort. This version is upholstered in luxurious, durable mohair with a rich, deep pile.

First introduced in 1937 for the Swedish pavilion at the World Exhibition in Paris, the sofa was part of an interior co-created with designer and textile artist Astrid Sampe. It was later exhibited in Warsaw in 1938 and Malmö in 1939. The Paris Sofa exemplifies Swedish Modern design, a style celebrated worldwide for its elegant simplicity and enduring appeal.
