Created by Gudrun Hasle for the Normann x Brask Art Collection, this delicate glass carafe features. an inscription that reads ‘kep it insade, tring not to brick.’ Intentionally misspelled, Hasle exposes and plays on her diagnosed dyslexia. The misspelling makes us oddly uneasy, appearing almost like a scar that disrupts the smooth surface of the glass. The scar-like nature of the sandblast inscription relates to Hasle's dark period in youth with self-harm. By means of materiality and immateriality, Hasle draws our attention to fragility – in both glass and in people.
