The PH 2/1 Portable Table Lamp is a member of the PH series.

The Louis Poulsen PH 2/1 Table Lamp, designed by Poul Henningsen in 1925-1926, is a timeless piece from the iconic three-shade system. Collaborating with Louis Poulsen until his death in 1967, Henningsen prioritized glare-free illumination, directing light precisely with soft shadows.

The PH 2/1 is part of a collection of 30 lamps, showcasing Henningsen's innovative system for versatile lighting. Using a scientific approach, he employed the logarithmic spiral for even light distribution, controlling glare and shadow. The lamp's model number corresponds to the shade size, with the PH 2/1 featuring a top shade of approximately 20 cm and lower shades from the 1/1 model. This 'hybrid' design, introduced for lower pendant heights, adds a touch of timeless elegance to any space.

"...it is an art to make light both economical and glare free." -Poul Henningsen
