The Flensted Mirage Mobile is named after the visual illusions that can occur due to atmospheric conditions, such as seeing a pool of water in the desert or on hot pavement. Mirages occur when the light rays are refracted, or bent, due to heat waves in the air. We love how this mobile brings the illusion of a mirage to life, with a mix of materials that are in constant movement. Made by hand in Denmark with light, high-quality beech wood, steel rods, and high-quality plastic.

For over 60 years, Flensted has employed "homeworkers" to assemble their mobiles. Each mobile is created in people's homes, with regular visits from Flensted to provide supplies and new mobiles in exchange for the completed ones. Almost all Flensted mobiles are lighter than a standard letter. They can be fixed to your ceiling with a tiny nail––no drills or hooks are needed.

Care Instructions: Cardboard mobiles can be very lightly dusted with a soft brush. Wood, aluminum, or plastic mobiles can be wiped with a moist cloth with a few drops of mild dishwashing detergent.
