Carl Hansen & Son
CH388 Dining Table
With its stainless steel frame, the CH388 Round Dining Table is perfect for four people––the smaller version of the 6-person table that Hans J. Wegner designed in 1962. The use of steel in the 1960s was not unusual for Wegner, who at this time, often also chose to use stainless steel frames in his chairs.
The round tabletop is in solid oak with a vertical edge. The cylindrical, removable stainless steel legs meet the floor with visible floor protectors with a small rounded edge on the side. The legs are attached to both the tabletop and the two rails for maximum stability.
The dining table is available as a single plate or as a split tabletop. If the table is split, the two halves can be pulled apart, so that the table can be enlarged with leaves to fit a maximum of 8 people.
