An icon in modern furniture history designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1955, the Series 7™ Chair has a timeless shape made from 9 layers of pressure-molded veneer for strength, flexibility, and durability despite its slender form.
The Series 7 Chair is Fritz Hansen's bestselling chair, for a good reason.
Designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1955, this iconic chair has a unique shape that exudes character without overpowering the eye. The chair is made from 9 layers of pressure-molded veneer for strength, flexibility, and durability despite its slender form. Its slim yet strong steel-tubed legs complement the shell’s curved profile. Legs extend just beyond the edge of the seat, allowing chairs to be easily arranged in rows or stacked for storage (up to 12 chairs). The base and legs are discreetly mounted to a circular disc beneath the seat further enhancing the clean, minimal aesthetic of Arne Jacobsen’s iconic chair design.
To mark the 70th anniversary of Arne Jacobsen’s iconic Series 7 chair, Fritz Hansen introduces the Series 7 Chair - 7:14 AM edition - with five ethereal, elusive, and uplifting colors that mirror the spectrum of a sunrise. “This chair is such an icon and the Danish light is like nowhere else. When you stack the chairs, you get a feel for this fluent sunrise factor like refracted light,” says Fritz Hansen Creative Director Els Van Hoorebeeck. “You can buy the Sevener because you like what it stood for in the past, you can be attracted to it because you discover it in the present or you can fall for it because of what it has to offer in the future." This special edition comes in 5 distinct colors: 7:14 AM Blue, 7:14 AM Violet, 7:14 AM Pink, 7:14 AM Beige, and 7:14 AM Green. Choose between an iridescent rainbow zinc chrome base or the classic chrome.
The Series 7 Chair also comes in bar and counter stool options, which work seamlessly in a variety of environments, from home kitchens to cafes, bars, and restaurants.
