Linie Design: Hand-Crafted Rugs Merging Indian Rugmaking with Nordic Design
Linie Design is the result of traditional Indian rugmaking craftsmanship merged with Nordic design traditions.
Linie Design is on an eternal quest to discover new ways of expression by experimenting with new patterns, materials, and techniques, continually pushing creative boundaries to the limits.
Since its founding in 1980, Linie Design has collaborated with many skilled female weavers who have helped define the company with their original and progressive portfolio of designs.
All Linie rugs are handcrafted in India by master artisan weavers, undergoing numerous lengthy processes from start to finish to ensure uncompromising quality. With so many weaving, tufting, and knotting techniques, each rug has a unique look and feel. Depending on the intricacy of the rug’s design, an artisan can spend weeks or even months finishing a rug.
Linie Design uses durable and long-lasting natural materials like wool, linen, and cotton to create one-of-a-kind rugs that can be loved for generations to come.
Today, Linie Design continues to collaborate with a number of Danish textile designers, pushing boundaries in design while reflecting each designer's unique creative styles. Skilled artisans in India reproduce the designs by hand.

Lineal Poem
We love the stunning geometrical effect of this poetic rug that features contrasting bouclé lines in a tonal palette that gives depth and visual balance. We love its quiet presence, durable wool construction, and superior softness and warmth.
Eternal Eye
