Gus* Modern uses age-old techniques and chemical-free, eco-friendly, vegetable-based dyes to create a soft, lived in leather that cradles the body. Within the first six months to a year, expect the leather to darken from a light tan to a rich caramel. The rate at which it darkens will vary depending on sunlight exposure. Tanned leather will also change color in areas exposed to water or oil from hands. This darkening is a normal and natural process that will contribute to a rich patina over time.
