Copycat gets its name from its design––a smaller sphere lives in the shadow of a larger sphere. Designer Michael Anastassiades was inspired by the connection between two beings, where the smaller precious metal sphere aspires to be something greater.
The large aluminum sphere is made from solid metal and includes a hand-blown glass opal diffuser. The smaller sphere comes in 24K gold, black, polished aluminum, or copper. There is an LED light source within the larger sphere with a dimmer switch on the power cable.
