The Wick Chair is a modular shell chair inspired by the shape and appearance of traditional Swedish woodchip baskets. This ergonomic chair features a solid oak/ash frame and wheels that make it easy to move around the home or commercial office.
The woodchip basket is a look most recognizable from Swedish artist Carl Larsson's watercolor of his daughter Brita, a piece that became symbolic of what Christmas looks like in Sweden. The Wick Chair's similar plaits signal a modern interpretation of a traditional Swedish design, with interweaving that provides a supportive and sturdy structure since the wood can be glued on both sides.
The Wick Chair is designed by Jesper Stahl + Karl Malmvall, furniture designers with roots in the province of Småland.
