The distinctive lampshade of the Porta accommodates the need for pleasant, atmospheric lighting in smaller settings. With a sleek, functional handle and a warm orb of light nestled gently in a basket-like base, the Carrie Portable Lamp is useful anywhere. Crafted in glass and metal – with a plastic base version perfect for outdoor use – it comes in a range of four beautiful colors conceived with freedom and flexibility in mind. The warm, ambient light is adjustable to three settings, and fully charged it will stay on for ten hours. We love styling the Carrie on a bookshelf that’s easily within reach when we want to take it outside for an ambient lighting source at night.

JWDA Portable Table Lamp by MENU Design

The JWDA series is one of MENU Design’s most popular lighting options, and we’re thrilled that MENU introduced a portable version of this iconic table lamp. Inspired by traditional oil lamps and imagined with a modern yet timeless look, the JWDA Portable Lamp has the freedom and flexibility to move anywhere you want. The small-scale design has the same elliptical glass shade as its predecessors, resting on a solid metal base with a brass dimmer switch to control the ambiance. Fitted with a concealed USB charger at the base, the diminutive design provides 10 hours of adjustable light when fully charged. 

The JWDA Portable Table Lamp is named after its maker, Jonas Wagell, a Swedish architect and designer born in 1973. Wagell is widely revered for his modern product and furniture design comprising soft, minimalist shapes with a welcoming expression. Wagell’s Studio JWDA was founded in 2008 and is located in the Old Town of Stockholm, whilst recent clients and collaborative relations stretching from Scandinavia to China, Italy, and North America.

The Column Portable Table Lamp is the brainchild of Norm Architects. Founded in Copenhagen in 2008 by Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen and Kasper Rønn, the Norm Architects name reflects the group’s emphasis on the importance of drawing inspiration from norms and traditions within architecture and design – particularly the Scandinavian design principles of timeless aesthetics and natural materials, and the modernist values of restraint and refinement. Phare LED Table Lamp by MENU Design

Initially designed for apartment no. 50 at Le Courbusier’s ‘Cité Radieuse’ in Marseille, a UNESCO world heritage site, the Phare Lamp’s aesthetic was centered on the idea to create a fully recyclable product that would become a versatile everyday companion. While the building’s flat roof caters to social needs, it lacks built-in lighting, which is where the Phare Lamp provides a remedy: lightweight and simple to transport, the design and materials take its inspiration from Cité Radieuse’s roof construction. 

Crafted out of aluminum for 100% recyclability, durability, and lightness, the lamp’s sphere/shade, meanwhile, is made from injected plastic, offering long-term durability and safety (both for the lamp and user). 

Phare transforms into a daily companion that can be freely placed, hung, or taken outside as long as conditions are dry according to need.
